Peru trip, James Hume (from Dubai) - February 9, 2011
We had a simply marvelous time and couldnt fault any aspect of the trip.
Right from the start, the booking process was efficient, prompt and we were kept well informed. The hotels were, without exception, of much higher quality than we expected and indeed, matched any global standard.
We remarked several times on the seamless way that a number of different guides interacted with us - we were never left wondering what would happen next. They were happy, well-informed, highly educated people and enthusiastic people and looked after us carefully.
Peru has prioritized tourism and it shows. The schedule was a little daunting - trying to see everything that Peru has to offer in only nine days does not allow for much leisure. However, once we had adjusted to the lower oxygen levels in the high Andes (a couple of days of slight headaches and some dizziness) we became accustomed to early starts and enjoyed the wide variety of sights and experiences.
Peru has so much to offer - historical, geographical and social - we highly recommend it! Value-wise, the price we paid was a bargain.
Kind regards and many thanks for your assistance.

Peru trip, Norma Stoddard (from USA) - February 8, 2011
We returned from South America a few days ago after a wonderful trip. After Peru we spent several days in Santiago, Chile before taking a 2 week cruise from Valpariaso around Cape Horn to Buenos Aires. We stayed in BA a few days before flying home as well.
Everything you planned for us was fantastic. Our guides and other contact people were super - very professional, friendly, knowledgable and helpful. In over 40 years of extensive travel, Wilfredo, our guide at Machu Picchu, was the best guide we have ever encountered. The hotels were also great.
I''''ll also be sure to contact you for help with any clients and/or friends who are interested in travel in South America. Thanks very much for everything.
All the best,

Thank you once again.

Ecuador trip, Nicole Puzsar (from Austria) - January 21, 2011
The trip I booked went very fine. Everything happend like we arranged it: The flight tickets waited for us in our hotel, someone waited for us at the airport in San Cristobal - even though our plane was late - the 2 islands-trips per day were well organised and of course very interesting. And also our 2 days on our own were perfect.
The land trips were very well organised by the crew and the naturalist guide. I really liked the briefing and the white board with our day''''s schedule. Everybody was nice and friendly. We had 5 varied days - with a good combination of walking, snorkeling, listening to interesting facts and other activities in freetime.
The long trip to Galapagos was definetly worth it!
Thank you for your help arranging this unforgetable trip!
Argentina trip, Joanne Gardner (from USA) - January 17, 2011
I had a wonderful trip to Iguazu. The hotel St George was well located for restaurants and some shopping. The falls are amazing in themselves and the guia Gustavo was very good with me as the only non-Spanish speaker in the group. I did the boat ride which was amazing and should be suggested to anyone going there if they are physically able to do the climbing. The transfers were perfect, right on time. Thanks for your good help and I will use your company in the future for my clients. Joanne Gardner. (The Travel Specialist)

Peru trip, Peter Szanto (from Canada) - January 17, 2011
This was not my 1st travel, not even my 21st, but it was certainly one of the best. We were expecting a lot from this trip and were not dissapointed. It is very easy to ruin the whole trip with carelessness.
However, this time, everything worked to perfection, like a clock. From choosing the itinerary, and the hotels to choosing the guides, we were looked after 24/7 and all that with a PR that could be taught (all this in a complex itinerary).
All guides were knowledgeable, courtious and spoke English. We stayed in 3 star hotels and they were all great, I would rate them 4 star.
Mauricio, you work quietly, but you are effective and pleasant. It is appreciated.
I would be more than happy to answer questions from potential travellers.
Argentina trip, Eddy Schreiber (from Israel) - December 28, 2010

We are now back home in Israel and will recommend your services among our friends and family, and if relevant will not hesitate to use your services again.
Happy New Year,

Antarctica trip, Marsha W (from Canada) - December 21, 2010
I had an incredible time all around. I would highly recommend traveling with Antarctica XXI again. The expedition staff were highly professional, personable and always put safety first for the passengers. The crew were also very good along with the food and services.
We even had a wedding ceremony!
The sights were phenomenal! We were able to a landing in all of the scheduled areas. It was an amazing opportunity to see such wonders!
I really wish that Antarctica XXI will consider adding another 2 days to that particular itinerary. By the time all of us as passengers really got accustomed to the sailing and the zodiac tendering, the trip was over. As unpleasant as sailing through the Drake Passage was, I am glad we did it!
The Ocean Nova ship was okay. It certainly sufficed for our purposes! The rooms/bathroom facilities were quite small...but for 4 days, it was fine.
It was a tremendous experience
Thank you Laura for all your help!
Ecuador trip, Tom Newins (from USA) - December 14, 2010
Laura, Michaela and Fabricio (our naturalist/guide),
I wanted to follow up on our recent trip to the Galapagos. As expected upon my return to Alaska, many people have asked me about our vacation. My consistent response has been that “it exceeded our expectations, and we had high expectations at the time we planned the trip.” The Nemo II was a very comfortable boat, with an attentive crew and comical (though thoroughly knowledgeable) guide. Our guide, Fabricio Carbo, indicated this is the first time he has worked with Latin Discovery and asked to be included in my email to you.
To start, the overview of the tour was accurate. Laura, I also want to thank you for your add-ons as a result of the changes in the tour dates. Our day in Puerto Ayora gave us an opportunity to see other aspects of Santa Cruz island later in the trip. As it turned out, my wife and I met a friend from Canada while walking on a path as part of the “Bay Tour” before our boat cruise. It was a total and pleasant surprise. The hotel in Puerto Ayora was also very nice and accommodating. We truly appreciate all that you did for us.
Pluses: Number 1 is the fact that we had a small group on board and all (loosely) connected. This gave us the private, personal touch that really distinguished our trip from other boats in the vicinity. Fabricio also did a wonderful job of timing our landings to not coincide with other tours. Although this meant some early morning departures (which was as difficult for our guide as it was for the guests….), the privacy on the islands was much appreciated. Part of the success of the trip was that it was a learning experience as much as a fun adventure. I even made the guests learn some Spanish (in presenting facts about Alaska to the crew). The food and drink were plentiful, and there was always fresh fruit.
Overall, it was an incredible trip. I have already told several people who are interested in (and have the ability to visit) the Galapagos that I strongly recommend the same team we used for our trip. I would be very surprised if you do not get a couple more bookings as a result of this trip.
In closing – Laura, you came through and not only corrected the problems that occurred, but you went the extra mile (or marathon) to more than make up for it. In the end, your work and help truly enhanced our vacation (we would not have met our friend on the beach if not for the early arrival).
Fabricio did an exemplary job of leading our group and ensuring that all details were taking care of (except for finding the flamingos). He truly became part of our group, and we became part of his family. The US Holiday, Thanksgiving, occurred during our trip and Fabricio worked with other boats to procure a Turkey for our traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Often, it is the small things that mean the most.
Thanks to all. Each of you helped make our trip positively one of our highlights. I hope to have the pleasure of working with each of you again.
Belize trip, Stephen Mason (from UK) - December 7, 2010
Firstly I must say that the flight arrangements worked out perfect and the Mayan air staff was brilliant including the pilot that flew us through a tropical storm from Dangriga to Belize city.
Being in Hopkins village was a pleasure as the folk were so friendly. I also had a look at some property along the Sittee river which was inviting.
I will most certainly encourage my friends and colleagues a trip to Belize and most definitely flying Mayan air.
Thanks for your help
