Day 1: Arrive in Guatemala City

Meet & Greet and transfer to Hotel (Approx 10mins). Overnight inGuatemala City.

Day 2: Lake Atitlan (Unguided)
Guests transfer to Lake Atitlan with its three volcanoes known as the most beautiful lake in the world (2.5hr). Free aftermoon. Overnight in the Lake Atitlan area.

Day 3: Chichicastenango Market
(Guide FD).Today guests transfer to the famous market at Chichi (1hr). Time for shopping and an opportunity to see Maya rituals being performed in the Catholic Church. Transfer back to Lake Atitlan. Overnight in the Lake Atitlan area.

Day 4: San Juan & Santiago Maximon

(Guide FD). This morning guests will take a scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan (30min) to the village of San Juan La Laguna where they can visit the womens textile cooperative to see hand weaving and natural dye process. Also here visit the studios / homes of the celebrated naf painters.
From here guests continue to the village of Santiago where they have lunch in a local hotel and tour the village visiting the Maya God Maximon and learn about the textiles, spiritualism and beliefs of the Tzutujil Maya. Today guests should also see Maximon being processed through the streets of Santiago in an Easter procession that typifies the interesting mix of Maya and Catholic faiths. Overnight in the Lake Atitlan area.

Day 5: Solola market & free afternoon
(Guide HD) Guests are picked up from their hotel by their driver & guide and transfer approx 30mins up to the traditional town of Solola. This town is bursting with life and local Maya people from all around the area flock to the market to buy and sell their wares for the week ahead. When clients are ready they will be transferred back to their hotel. Free afternoon. Overnight in the Lake Atitlan area.

Day 6: Azotea Coffee Farm & museums, Antigua

Guests will be transferred to Antigua. On the way they will visit Azotea Coffee Farm & Traditional music and clothes museum. The rest of the afternoon free. Overnight in Antigua.
