Antarctica is best 'discovered' on board expedition ships. You will see icebergs the size of office blocks, and glaciers calving into the sea. This pristine wilderness is one of the increasingly few places that is still relatively untrodden by man .

Argentina offers a wide range of spectacular scenery, from the northern deserts and the stunning Iguazu Falls down to magnificent Patagonia. To this add Buenos Aires, the most cosmopolitan and charming of Latin America's capitals.
Belize is an extraordinary country with several 'worlds', all relatively close to each other yet quite different in attraction and interest: Mayan ruins, jaguar-inhabited jungles, a wide ethnic mix of people, small cayes set in azure waters, and great places for snorkeling, diving, nature trips, fishing, and plain relaxing.
Brazil spans such a vast area that it includes an awesome range of attractions, both natural and cultural. The challenge is to choose what to see: whether the vivid life and colour of Rio, the vast rainforests of the Amazon, colonial cities, Brasilia's architectural marvel, endless beaches, or stunning Iguaçu Falls.
Chile stretches over 4,000 km and covers an amazing wealth of stunning landscapes, from the Atacama Desert, the driest in the world, to the glaciers and ice fields of Patagonia. Rarely more than 180 kms wide, this is a country of great beauty and contrasts, little populated and yet the most advanced of the continent..
Costa Rica touches the heart and mind, not through elegant boulevards, towering cathedrals, or an imposing place in history but through the incredible natural beauty and biodiversity squeezed into one of the smallest countries in the region - and through the natural hospitality of its people.
Ecuador & Galapagos offer several UNESCO-recognised wonders of the world, all within short distances. The Galapagos is justly thought a trip of a lifetime, yet is only one of major attractions of Ecuador with the snow-capped volcanoes of the Andes, the endless rainforests of the Amazon, the colonial delights of Quito and Cuenca, and a strong indigenous culture with colourful customs and lively markets.
Mexico is a diverse country of millennial culture. It is fascinating if you escape the beaten path of the large coastal resorts and visit Mayan and Aztec ruins, colourful indian markets, kayak or watch whales on Baja's Sea of Cortes, take a hike along the Copper Canyon, or relaxe in wilderness lodges or elegant haciendas.
Peru is privileged with spectacular geography varying from desert to Amazon rainforest, and the most astonishing archaeological heritage of the whole continent. The spell-binding ruins of Machu Picchu and the mysterious desert lines of Nazca are just two of the many fabulous remains and ruined cities of pre-Columbian civilizations to be found the country, alongside an extremely rich Andean culture..
