Costa Rica trip, Rebecca Finnigan (from UK) - June 11, 2008

Sandra, Our time in Costa Rica was absolutely fantastic!
1. Your Service- wonderful! You have been great, thanks for all your help in organising the trip.
2. The Places- we loved everywhere we visited. Tortugero, Arenal, MonteVerde and Manuel Antonio were all fantastic. We liked Tamarindo a little less than the other places because there was not much to do, but we enjoyed a relaxing few days here and had a surfing lesson.
3. The hotels were all lovely and the staff were very friendly- particularly at Issimo Suites. The food at Jardin Del Eden was very nice.
4. The transfers were all very punctual and we were very impressed.
5. Excursions- all the excursions you organsied were great. We also organised our own canopy tour and night walk at Monte Verde and white water rafting in Manuel Antonio.

Our honeymoon has been wonderful- Costa Rica is such a beautiful country! All the people are so friendly and proud of their country, the food was really good too. I shall definitely recommend you to any of our friends who want to come to Latin America!

Thanks for all your help and - PURA VIDA! Becky F.

Ecuador trip, Gabriel Bergantino (from Argentina) - April 7, 2008

Gabriel y Nadia.

South America trip, McKee M (from USA) - November 6, 2007

Thank you! We had the most amazing time ever! Jen and I could not have been happier with our choices and your planning of it all.

Thank you for all the bottles of champagne that were delivered to our rooms, we loved every bit of them. Here are some of the highlights that we felt made the trip so special. Buenos Aires, Home Hotel is very cool and chic. The setting was ideal, and it did not matter that we didn't have a room with a tub. The spa there is not very large, so it was good to book ahead. They were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions. They had free internet in the lobby and a great bar and pool area.

The rooms were very well done, it might be cool in the winter as they have concert floors. We ate at this restaurant called The Standard, which had some of the best chicken I have ever eaten. Mendoza and Uco Valley, the vineyard Salentine where we stayed for two days was probably the best of the trip.

The setting was at the base of the Andes with vineyards in all directions. Here we had all of our meals and the food was out of this world, top class like you could find in NYC for $$$$. We were set up with a suite here, which meant we had two bedrooms, a kitchen, balcony and dinning room. The place is small only about 8 rooms and very romantic. They have a small dining room building with an amazing terrace looking out over the valley. We were able to go horseback riding through the grape trees, fruit trees and over streams. There were two other couples staying there while we were there and we all had dinner together on the last night and it was so much fun.

Jen and I both agreed that our guide and driver for the 4 days in Mendoza and surrounding areas were the best. We are going to send our guide a recommendation email, but if you could also make sure the people who contracted him know that he is amazing that would be wonderful.

His 1st name is Fabien, I have his full name at home. He is our age and knew so much about the area and the wines. We spent two days having lunch with him, both for about 2 hours each and it was like we were old friends. He was open and told us about the culture, life today and past. We just can't say enough about how great he was. I would make sure you set up anyone who is going there with him, because it makes the trip that much more enjoyable. In Mendoza we stayed at the Hyatt and it was very swanky.

There was a fashion show going on, so that made it even move swanky. We ate at Francis Mailman's 1884 restaurant, and this could have been the best meal of the trip. It is set in an old colonial house with a courtyard where we had cocktails and then had dinner on the terrace. everything about this meal was 5 star.

Southern Chile was amazing, the flight down is easy, that stop in Puerto Montt was like 20 mins at most and you don't even get off the plane. The hotels in Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales were really nice. They were recently done and offer a very modern feel. There was one other hotel in Puerto Natales that looked a bit more chic, called Indigo or something like that, I think that could be another option for the area. The drive was no problem at all. It took 5 hours from Punta Arenas to get to Hotel Rio Serrano in Torres del Pine.

Rio Serrano is actually just outside the park, by like 1 KM. It is very nice and clean and new. They are adding a spa there and I think as far as accommodations go it is one of the nicest places there. We had a guide on our second day there, who took us horseback riding for 2 hours then a hike for 4 hours and then back on horses for another 2. It was a really long day, but one we both loved. We hiked to the base of the towers in rain and snow, how Vermont can you get right?

Our guide Leo, works for Rio Serrano and is another one we'd like you to let know that they really made our trip even better. He is originally from Vina del Mar, our next stop and he took the time after the long day to write down a number of places to visit and eat around Vina del Mar. We thought that was really nice of him to make the extra effort when he didn't have to. Being able to drive around the park on our own was I think a very good idea.

There were tour buses of older people and I know we would have gone crazy if we had to do that. Plus the drive is amazing and you want to stop every 10 mins to take a photo. It was nice to break up the 5 hour ride on the way back, but I don't think it is absolutely necessary. Puerto Natales is very small and can be covered in about an hour or so, if you are driving yourself.

The road from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natalis is like Route 100, paved and tight. There is a new road into Torres Del Pine national park from Puerto Natales that cuts the drive time down from like 3 to 4 hours to 2.5 hours, and it is a lot of fun to drive on. The hotel Del Mar in Vina Del Mar is really high end. We had an amazing room with a balcony facing the ocean. There are several great restaurants in the hotel and a casino. The spa on the top floor is very cool and the massages were very good and not very expensive.

We wished we had a few extra days here, as it was so beautiful and high end! So all in all we had the most amazing time in the world and loved the trip. We want to go back right now! The food and people in Argentina could not be beat. The views and scenery in Chile were amazing. Thank you! McKee

I used LatinDiscover to arrange my honeymoon to South America for 3 weeks. We visited Argentina, Peru and Uruguay. The service that we received exceeded our expectations. Costa Rica trip, Billy B (from USA) - June 5, 2007

Mauricio- Hello! Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time that we had! Costa Rica is a beautiful country filled with so many animals, flowers, trees , and beautiful volcanos. We really took advantage of our time there to see the land.

We took tours almost everyday and wish that we could have stayed even longer. The autobus drivers were always there at the stated time and were alot of fun to talk to. They would point out the local stuff and any towns or landmarks to us. It was like they were tour guides as well. They did an excellent job and were friendly and fun as well. Each one of our hotels was aware of our booking upon arrival and every check in and out was smooth. We loved all of the hotels, especially Arenal Kioro. They were all uniquely beautiful and had different tours and amenities available.

We were very happy with all of the work you did to make our "luna de miel" a wonderful and probably our favorite vacation ever! We will be recommending your website to any of our friends who want a fun filled vacation in Central America. If we decide to go back for an anniversary, we will be definately using your services. Thank you again. It was absolutely wonderful!!!!!!! Billy and Julie Brooks

Costa Rica trip, Christine N (from USA) - February 4, 2007

Mauricio, first thank you very much for all your help! We had an unforgettable time! The transportation from the airport to Hotel Grano de Oro was great and the hotel was beautiful! Our first night we stayed in a newer room and on our last night we stayed in the older part right above the restaurant, which may I say was fabulous!

Our flight to Tortuguero was fun, there was only about 8 people on our flight the landing in Tortuguero was pretty fun too with the crosswinds. We were so happy we chose to fly in since we had more time to check out the hotel and surrondings. Within minutes of our arrival, we saw our first monkeys, a family of 5. We were so excited! The stay was fabulous! Our guide Alex was wonderful! We really liked him. All the staff at the Pachira Lodge were wonderful, from our bar tender, boat driver, office manager and the restaurant staff were so wonderful and insightful.

It was fun on our last night we received a fun Honeymoon drink, a pina colada in a pineapple. We will definitely return! The boat ride out was great. Our bus ride was good, it was great to be able to look around an soak in Costa Rica. Adobe rental cars was great, Katrina was wonderful, she took her time and answered all our question and helped us with our map. Driving was fine, we learned the rules quickly and ran into no problems, except maybe getting a little lost, but the locals were wonderful and would help us.

The Arenal Volano Inn was beautiful, the town was great and the restaurant at the Inn was so yummy! We did see the Volcano for a second during the day and one night when we were having dinner at the restaurant at the Inn the servers told us to go outside and look and we saw the volcano, lava and all!! It was very exciting! When we were in Arenal we did the Hanging bridges walk, it was beautiful and exciting! Then we hiked down to this waterfall, the hike was step but the path was well kept and the waterfall was spektacular! Hotel Fonda Vela was beautiful and the restaurant was good. One morning we walked to Stella's Bakery for breakfast and we got two sandwiches to go, it was wonderful food!!!

We did the hanging bridge walk and the zip-line with the company Adventura. Of it was a wonderful time, our guide for our walk was great and funny, and the guys for the zip-line, were amazing!!! We had the best time every! Denise was the lead guy and there were three other men helping all of us, Fernando and I can' t remember the other two. Anyways, there were so full of life and so funny! We had a wonderful time, they had two surprises for us a vertical drop and the Tarzan swing... SO scarry but so much fun!!!!

We also did a night walk, it was so cool! We saw a lot of wildlife. Also our guide was great! Manuel Antonio was beautiful! The Parador, was amazing our view was breathtaking! The ppols and swim up bar were great! We found two wonderful restaurants, Red Beard and El Avion, the food was great and there was live music.

We went into the park on morning at 8am, we had a great time we saw a lot of monkeys, the beachs were great. We chose not to go with a guide and so we were able to take our time, lay on the beach and swim. The next day we came back and just laid on the beach. It was wonderful! Osa Peninsula was amazing! Aguila de Osa Inn, was amazing! Brad and all the staff were wonderful, you could tell they were like a family.

What an experience, so intimate and personable. We fished one day with Captain Willie and Christian. We chose to go out all day. It was wonderful just Chris and I and the two guys. We had an unforgettable time. We caught a yellow fin tuna, a Mahi and 5 sailfish. Chris was smiling ear to ear.

We saw a ton of dolphins. And the two guys even saved a giant sea turtle who was stuck in a net. They served the tuna that night for an appetizer and the third night they served the Mahi. The food was amazing at every meal. The second day we went on our snorkel trip to Cano Island. So if you can't tell that, we had a wonderful time!

We only ran into a couple of snags along the way. Everything was great and the information you gave was very helpful. The only thing that we would have found to be a little more helpful would be to give better directions when driving into San Jose... We did not have a very good map.. but adventually we were able to figure out our surronding and make it to the hotel.

Mauricio, thank you for everything!!! we will definitely return to Costa Rica some day! Every place we stayed had its own personality and each was so unique. We loved every place and every experience! Thanks a million!

Our trip to Costa Rica was incredible. We got to stay in several different locations and take wonderful guided tours of the natural areas. It had been planned out perfectly and we didn't have any trouble getting around or staying in the beautiful accomodations. It was a true getaway and now we're hooked on the idea of visiting again!

Laura: Our trip was unbelievable! The Sea Cloud and crew were excellent. Our Galapagos experience was one that we will never forget. I was very impressed with the service that Latin Discover offers. I took printouts of all e-mails, confirmations, etc. in case we ran into any problems. It was an unneccessary precaution - everything went as planned! We look forward to our next vacation with Latin Discover! I have included three pictures from our trip. Feel free to share them with anyone. Also, if any of your customers would like information on Galapagos or the Sea Cloud, you can give them my e-mail address. I would be happy to tell them about our wonderful experience traveling with Latin Discover. Thank You! Benjamin and Sithavy R.
Argentina trip, Peter H (from USA) - September 23, 2005

Laura, We had a great time in Argentina, specifically in El Calafate, where we actually extended our stay by a day. I'm happy to give you our feedback: The transfers to/from the airport were pretty smooth, except when we got to the hotel it wasn't clear to us whether we had to meet the tour van somewhere the next morning or they would pick us up at the hotel.

We liked the Hotel Quijote a lot. Initially they had given us a room with two separate beds which, of course, was unacceptable on our honeymoon. But they fixed the problem and in the end it was in a great location and the staff was very helpful.

The tour to Perito Moreno was great. It was a little frustrating being in a bilingual van because the Spanish-speakers would start talking whenever the guide switched to English. Still, she was great. Please let me know what other countries you work with and we'll definitely keep you in mind. Take care.-Peter
