With the growing popularity of water, ground and aerial sports in Costa Rica, this trip spreads the spirit of “Pura Vida”, the most common Costa Rican expression meaning literally “pure life”.  Enjoy a combination of exciting activities while you visit Turrialba, Arenal, the Caribbean and Manuel Antonio regions.

Day 1: Arrival to San Jose
Upon your arrival into San Jose, a representative will meet you at the main passenger exit, at the international airport and will take you to the hotel in San Jose.  During your transfer, if you have any questions you feel you need to ask your driver regarding your services, please feel free and do so, and he can answer them for you. Overnight at San Jose.

Day 2: San Jose - Pacuare
After breakfast, a guide will meet you at your hotel to begin your overnight White Water Raftingadventure on the class III/IV  Pacuare river. Enjoy a nice journey though San Jose and Limon provinces until reaching the Pacuare river starting site and, where your white water rafting experience begins.  Pacuare river is one of the top five rafting rivers in the world for its scenery and rapids. This is a trip of pure adrenaline, wildlife and exhilarating rapids. Overnight at Pacuare.

Day 3: Pacuare
After breakfast, take your free day to explore the area on your own or to take optional adventure activities: hiking tour to Pacuare Reserve or nearby waterfall or canopy tour. Overnight at Pacuare.

Day 4: Pacuare - Turrialba
After breakfast, the second part of the white water rafting trip begins, a journey of excitement and pure adrenaline.  When you finish the river “run”, the Aventuras Naturales ground transportation will take you to the operations center, where we will meet you to take you by private ground transfer to your hotel in Turrialba.  This transfer is done in the afternoon.

Turrialba is washed by the pure waters of Reventazón river, which converted these lands into a rich agricultural area over a hundred years ago.  Rains throughout the year create a green collage of primary forests, biological reserves, and extensive plantations of coffee, macadamia and sugar cane.  A paradise for adventurous!  Overnight at Turrialba.

Day 5: Turrialba - Limon
After breakfast, we will take you to the province of Limon, on the Caribbean side of the country. The fascinating Afro-Caribbean culture (mainly a combination of Jamaican, Italian and Chinese immigrants), predominates in this region with its original fragrances, rhythms and colors.  Afternoon arrival to the hotel.  Overnight at Limon.

Day 6: Limon
After breakfast, free day for optional activities such as tree climbing, horseback tours or waterfall hike.  Overnight at Limon.

Day 7: Limon - Arenal
Today we take you by private transfer to the northern region of the country.  This area offers a landscape composed by forests, lagoons, fields of crops, rivers with hot springs, and the most active volcano of Costa Rica:  Arenal.  Definitely a land of contrasts full of varied adventure options.  Afternoon arrival to the hotel. Overnight at Arenal.

Day 8: Arenal
After breakfast, a local bilingual guide will take you on a mountain biking tour. This tour is for adventurers who like the outdoor sports combined with a natural environment.  The tour starts at the Arenal lake dam, where bikers take an old trail into the forest, which ends at the entrance of Arenal Volcano National Park, to continue from there on the way to the observatory Lodge and back to the main road. Free afternoon to relax or to take an optional adventure tour such as: waterfall trail hike, old lava trail hike, ATV adventure, canopy tour or horseback ride.  Overnight at Arenal.

Day 9: Arenal - Manuel Antonio
Take a domestic flight from Arenal to San Jose and then a connecting flight to Manuel Antonio.  Manuel Antonio provides a marvellous combination of white sand beaches, a beautiful national park, cliffs, rivers, rainforests, and a wide variety of adventure activities. 

Free afternoon to explore the area or for an adventure activity:  Manuel Antonio National Park hike, white water rafting trips (Savegre or Naranjo rivers), canopy tour, horseback riding, coastal paddle, ATV adventures and kayaking.  Overnight at Manuel Antonio.

Day 10: Manuel Antonio
Today a local bilingual guide will take you on the Damas island estuary kayaking tour, an activity specially designed to kayak on the tranquil waters of the Pacific Ocean and explore the wildlife of the coastal mangroves.  Overnight at Manuel Antonio.

Day 11: Manuel Antonio - San Jose
After breakfast, spend your free morning exploring the area on your own or take an optional adventure activity:  canopy tour, hiking tour to Manuel Antonio National Park, horseback riding or ATV tours. Noon private transfer back to San Jose. Overnight at San Jose.

Day 12: Fly out from San Jose
Today we will transfer you to the Juan Santamaria International Airport in time to meet your flight back home.
