Buenos Aires - Uco Valley - Central Valleys of Mendoza (7 days / 6 nts)
A journey to explore the country and its outstanding wines. In cosmopolitan Buenos Aires soak in history and the wine scene. Fly to the province of Mendoza, into the diverse oasis of winemaking: the Central Valleys and the high terroirs of the Uco Valley. The incredible Andean landscape will be an amazing frame during our entire stay. Lodge at exclusive countryside retreats. Cycle and ride on horseback through the vineyards. Dine at Argentina’s most renowned chefs’ own private venues, and state-of- the-art wineries. Lay back and enjoy the landscape of this marvelous land at the foothill of the Andes.
Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires
We will be waiting for you at Buenos Aires Airport. Transfer to your centric hotel. A brief orientation meeting will be held at the hotel to meet our guide and review the itinerary before heading for one of the city’s finest Wine bars and get acquainted with the superb Argentine Malbecs and Torrontes. Accomodation at Mine Hotel or similar.
Day 2: Buenos Aires (City tour)
Morning city tour visiting some of the most traditional neighborhoods of the city, including San Telmo, the Art district with its (*) famous street fair and Recoleta, with its sparkling cafes & restaurants and its famed cemetery. The rest of the day is yours to walk this amazing city, its museums and parks, as you get ready for an evening of Music & Dance at one of Buenos Aires’ most authentic Tango venues. Accomodation at Mine Hotel or similar. Breakfast and Dinner.
Day 3: Buenos Aires - Mendoza (Central Valley)
Morning Morning transfer to Buenos Aires domestic airport to board flight to Mendoza, center of Argentina’s wine making. Reception at Mendoza’s airport. Visit to centric Mendoza and time for lunch. Afternoon visit to Catena Zapata. The winery, recognized for being the pioneer of quality winemaking in Argentina, is also well known for the outstanding architectural design of its Bodega. Lodge at Club Tapiz. Located in an estate built in 1890 and surrounded by ten hectares of vineyards, the house was restored preserving its Renaissance- style Villa structure and maintaining vintage elements. Accomodation at Club Tapiz Hotel or similar. Breakfast.
Day 4: Mendoza (Central Valley)
Morning visit to award winning winery Achaval Ferrer. Only a few years into the market , its wines consistently receive 90 + punctuations in Wine Spectator. We head for Ruca Malen Winery for a superb 5 course lunch pairing food & wine. Afternoon transfer back to the lodge. Accomodation at Club Tapiz Hotel or similar. Breakfast and Lunch.
Optional (not included): evening visit to centric Mendoza, and dinner at “ 1884”, where Chef Francis Mallmann blends the finest culinary traditions of France and South America
Day 5: Mendoza (Uco Valley)
Morning Morning transfer South to Uco Valley, where we visit La Azul, a small Boutique winery producer of superb Malbecs Lunch a la Carte ( not included) at Kilka , Salentein Bodega`s Restaurant and Art Space. Afternoon visit to the winery (*). Transfer to your wine lodge. Check in and leisure away. Accomodation at Postales Boutique Wine Hotel or similar. Breakfast
(*). Optional (not included): Afternoon horse back riding (2 hours approx.) by the Andean’foothills
Day 6: Mendoza (Uco Valley)
This morning we make our way to one of the valley’s finest wineries: Clos de los Siete, a joint wine adventure initiated a few years back by the world famous French winemaker Michel Rolland. We also visit Monteviejo Winery, before heading for a traditional Asado at Posada del Jamon, the hidden local gem specialized in pork meats. (lunch a la carte/ not included). Afternoon leisure by the pool or walk by the magnificent surroundings. Accomodation at Postales Boutique Wine Hotel or similar. Breakfast
Day 7: Mendoza - Fly out from Buenos Aires
Morning transfer to Mendoza airport to board flight back to Buenos Aires. Transfer from the domestic to international airport to board flight home or transfer to central hotel. Breakfast.
