Day 1: Arrival Antigua (Unguided)
 Guests are met & transferred in a private vehicle to Antigua, located 1hr away. Overnight in Antigua.

Day 2: Architecture & History Tour (Guided Half Day)
Guests will take a half day walking tour of Antigua. (3-4hr). The tour takes in the main square, Palace, Cathedral, La Merced Church & San Francisco Church. Entrances to these sites are included. In the afternoon guests will visit the local woodcarvers in the village of Jocotenango & then the fabulous Azotea Coffee Farm & Maya Traditions Museums covering traditional music, costume & traditions. Overnight in Antigua.

Day 3: Azotea Coffee Farm, Maya Museum (Guided Half Day)
Guests will be transferred to visit the colorful authentic market at Comalapa (1hr) & enjoy a tour of the market, the famous local primitive painting galleries & the famous town mural. Transfer on to Lake Atitlan (2.5hr). Overnight in Antigua.

Day 4: Comalapa Market & Lake Atitlan (Guide Full Day)
This morning guests will take a scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan (30min) to the village of San Juan La Laguna where they can visit the women’s textile cooperative to see hand weaving and natural dye process. Also here visit the studios / homes of the celebrated naïf painters. From here guests continue to the village of Santiago where they have lunch in a local hotel and tour the village visiting the Maya God Maximon and learn about the textiles, spiritualism and beliefs of the T’zutujil Maya.

Day 5: Chichicastenango Market + Flight to Tikal area (Guide FD)
Today guests transfer approx. 1hr to the famous market at Chichi. Time for shopping in this fabulous craft market and an opportunity to see Maya rituals being performed in the Catholic Church before transferring on to on to Guatemala City Airport (3hr) in time to catch the early evening flight to Flores. (45min) In Flores you will be met & transferred to your hotel in the rainforest. (Trf. time depends on hotel)

Day 6: Yahxa - Tikal area (Guided)
Guests transfer to Yaxha National Park to explore this lesser visited, atmospheric site. Guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of the howler and spider monkeys as well as many colorful tropical birds and other mammals in this area which is rich with wildlife. A standard picnic lunch is provided on the shores of Lake Yaxha.

Day 7: Tikal - Guatemala City (Guided Half Day)
 Today guests transfer to Tikal National park (approx 1hr) to explore the amazing UNESCO protected Mayan Temple site of Tikal where huge Mayan temples rise above the jungle canopy and monkeys and tropical birds are abundant in the surrounding rainforest. After lunch guests & time to relax and refresh guests will fly back to Guatemala City (30min) and transfer to their hotel (Approx 10min).

Day 8: Fly out from Guatemala (Unguided)
This morning our private driver will transfer guests to the airport (approx 10mins) in plenty of time to catch their flight.
