Day 1: Arrive in Lima (Fri)
Upon your arrival in Lima, we will provide assistance at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Lima (Sat)
Lima - Presidential palace | tt2Today tour of the "City of the Kings". Panoramic visit to the Huaca Pucllana archaeological center that was active 5th and 8th centuries A.D. Proceed to the Historical Centre of Lima and see the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop Palace. Then on to the San Francisco Monastery, a masterpiece of Colonial architecture. Drive through the residential districts of Miraflores and San Isidro where you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and its beaches.

Day 3: Lima - Trujillo (Sun)
Trujillo - House on the main plaza | tt2Morning at leisure. We will transfer you from the hotel to the airport for your departure flight. Upon arriving in Trujillo, we will provide you assistance at the airport and then transfer you to tyour hotel.

Day 4: Trujillo - Lima (Mon)
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion south of Trujillo to visit a religious center of the Mochica culture, built in the 5th century. Admire the temples of The Sun and The Moon. Transfer from the hotel to the airport. Assistance provided for your departure flight. Upon your arrival to Lima we will provide you with transport from the airport to your Hotel.

Day 5: Lima - Cuzco (Tue)
We will transfer you from Cuzco - View of central plaza | tt2the hotel to the airport for your departure flight. Upon arrival in Cusco, we will provide assistance and transport you to the Hotel Libertador Palacio del Inca. Later this aftrnoon, explore the magical capital of the Incas on a tour that includes a visit to the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral and the Santo Domingo convent monastery. The Santo Domingo monastery was built over the Koricancha temple,
one of the most important temples dedicated to the worship of the sun. According to the chronicles, it was covered in gold leaf and filled with golden representations of nature. Then we roam around the old town with its very narrow streets. After seeing the most interesting sites of the city, you will be driven into the nearby remarkable Inca ruins in the area: Sacsayhuaman, the temple and amphitheatre of Kenko and the Red Fortress of Puca Pucara. Finally the tour will take you to visit Tambomachy, It consists of a series of aqueducts, canals and waterfalls that run through the terraced rocks. The function of the site is uncertain,it may have served as a military outpost guarding the approaches to Cusco, as a spa resort for the Incan political elite,
or both.

Day 6: Cuzco (Wed)
Day at leisure to observe the churches, markets on your own.

Day 7: Cuzco - Machu Picchu - Cuzco (Thu)
We will transfer you to the rail station to board the Expedition train to MachuSalkantay | tt2 Picchu. When arriving at Aguas Calientes, you will take a 25-minute motorcoach ride to "The Lost City of the Incas", which was discovered by American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. Take a guided tour of the marvelous citadel, an awe-inspiring experience. Afterwards, feel free to stroll around the archaeological site. In the afternoon return to cusco the same way you left it. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

Day 8: Cuzco - Puno (Fri)
Road between Puno and Cuzco | tt2Transfer from the hotel to the bus station for a bus ride across the scenic high Andean landscape dotted by occasional small native villages and herds of llamas and vicunas. After arrival in Puno, transfer to Hotel Libertador Lake Titicaca.

Day 9: Puno (Sat)
Take a motor boat trip to some of the more unique islands of Lake Titicaca, starting with Taquile Island, which is inhabited by quechua speaking natives who have developed both an efficient and original social system and a fine handweaving technique over several generations. Then travel to the utterly fascinating Uros Islands. These islands are completely man made, and its inhabitants continue to maintain them as they have since pre-Columbian times, using Totora reeds from the lake.

Day 10: Puno - Fly out from Lima (Sun)
Transfer from the hotel to Juliaca airport. Assistance on departure flight back to Lima. Upon arrival, assistance at the airport for your connecting flight home.

- Full-day excursion to Machu Picchu including transfer hotel/rail station/ hotel, rail tickets Ollanta-Machu Picchu-Ollanta on Expedition train, bus tickets to/from Machu Picchu, entrance fees.
