Get to know Cape Horn
Ushuaia or Punta Arenas - Puerto Williams - Wulaia Bay (4 days / 3 nts)
Day 1: Arrive in Ushuaia or Punta Arenas - Puerto Williams
Crossing from Ushuaia or flying from Punta Arenas. Arrive at Puerto Williams and transfer to the aerodrome in order to carry out a Cape Horn fly-over which is one of the most important activities offered. At this legendary place, where our continent comes to an end and where the family that is responsible for the maintenance of the lighthouse now lives, one can observe - even from the air - the wonderful Monumento al Albatros (Albatross Monument): which symbolizes the southern winds and the ever-present companion of brave solitary sailors. The trip also allows you to appreciate Bahia Nassau as well as the mountains and interior valleys of Isla Navarino. Return to Puerto Williams and transfer to the lodge. Lunch. In the afternoon visit to the OMORA Ethno-Botanical Park. This excursion will allow you to discover the beauty of the Bosques en Miniatura del Archipielago del Cabo de Hornos (Miniature Forests of the Cape Horn Archipelagos) via an experience called “Turismo con Lupa” (Magnifying Glass Tourism). Return to the Lodge. Overnight at Lakutaia Lodge.
(Included meals: lunch, dinner)
Day 2: Lakutaia Lodge (Wulaia bay)
Sailing the Wulaia Bay is without a doubt the main program at the Lakutaia Lodge. Wulaia has an important natural and scenic component which is enormously appealing and motivating when you visit it. Sailing down the unknown Murray Strait is next and then after learning about the history of the place we go on a fun trek to the lookout on the Wulaia Mountain after which we will return to the ship. On our way back to the Lodge we will have the chance to see sea-lions on their isles, observe an enormous amount of sea-birds and with any luck, enjoy the sight of dolphins and penguins swimming by the ship. Overnight at Lakutaia Lodge.
Total travelled distance: 285 km (178 miles).
(Included meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Day 3: Lakutaia Lodge
Full day or half day activity of choice.

••Trekking to Cerro Bandera (half-day – moderate difficulty): Undoubtedly the best view of the Beagle Channel and the city of Puerto Williams is that which is seen from the Cerro Bandera lookout.
••Horse Ride to Los Bronces Waterfall (half-day – low difficulty): Horse ride to Los Bronces River. The return trip takes us along the coast where we will see a different landscape with its very own bird life.
••Trekking to Cerro Bandera and Valle Robalo (Full day – moderate difficulty): Full-day trek to go up to Cerro Bandera and then return via another valley. This is an excellent opportunity to experience both extremes of the wildlife and nature on Isla Navarino: cold and dry of the alpine zone of Cerro Bandera and the dense rainforest of the Rio Robalo Valley. Overnight at Lakutaia Lodge.
