October 08th - 09th 2008 Temuco – Pucon
Upon arrival at the airport of Temuco on Flight LA231 09:45 hrs. you pick up your car at the desk of Hertz Rent a Car. Your destination for today is the town of Pucon. Before you drive on, we can recommend you to visit downtown Temuco. Temuco is the cultural centre of the Mapuche Indians. Today, the Lake District has almost 3,000 Mapuche reservations, and Temuco is their principal market town. Traditional Mapuche Indians sell their fresh produce and handicrafts at Temuco's Mercado Municipal and Feria Libre. Continue to Pucón nestled at the Eastern end of the lake, surrounded by extensive areas of native forest crossed by rivers and crowned by a rugged geography. The main road takes you through the centre of Pucon.

Arrive in Balamceda airport and transfer to the hotel in Coihaique. 1 night

October 17th 2008 Monday Coyhaique – Skorpios I
Breakfast
at hotel Belisario Jara. You will have to take a taxi from
the hotel to the Skorpios office (which is about 7 blocks
from the hotel Belisario).
I will suggest you call skorpios office this morning to verify the exact time
you have to be at their office, but it will be approximate at 1700. Skorpios office telephone: (0056) 2-4771910 or (0056) 2-4771900. Skorpios will
transfer you to Puerto Chacabuco at 1700-1800 hrs to board Skorpios I and start
of navigation.(D)
Day October 18th 2008 Tuesday Quitralco
Fjord
Anchor at the Quitralco dock, where passengers can enjoy the thermal baths in indoor and/or outdoor pools, take excursions in motorboats around the fjord, treks in the verdant forest or take optional fishing trips (passengers must bring their own fishing equipment). You will enjoy a typical Chilean BBQ
(B,L,D).
Day October 19th 2008 Wednesday Quitralco – Punta
Leopards
Morning free to enjoy the hot springs. At 2pm start of navigation through the fjords to Punta Leopards, towards theSan Rafael Lagoon. (B,L,D)

October 20th 2008 Thursday San Rafael Glacier
At 9am, entrance into the San Rafael Lagoon by way of the Tempanos river canal, anchor 2 kms. from the glacier. Take excursions amongst the multicolored ice floes in Hercules motorboats. The tradition of whisky on millennium old glacial ice. In the afternoon the vessel draws in closer to the glacier. At 430pm set sail towards Puerto Chacabuco (B,L,D).
Day October 21th 2008 Friday Skorpios
I – Airport Balmaceda
7am breakfast and tt 8am transfer to Balmaceda(B).

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Dress for the Cruises is totally informal, casual & for
adventure. Remember to bring both thick and light clothing,
appropriate footwear, a suit & tie or formal wear for the
farewell gala & a bathing suit for the thermal springs
(only Aysen Adventure and San Rafael Classic Routes).
- Aysen Adventure & San Rafael Classic Route, in spring – autumn
(low season)- between 8º & 18ºC; summer (high
season) – between 12º & 22ºC.
- Skorpios reserves the right to change the departure time up
to 24hours when weather conditions do not allow the navigation.
In case of complete cancellation caused bye weather, clients
received their payment back but not any additional costs, which
might occur.
- Skorpios reserve the right to cancel departures with prior
notice if a minimum pax is not reached. In such a rare occasion,
payments done will be reimbursed.
