The M/V Aria is a new luxury yacht that was launched in April 2011 to the highest standards of modern small ship cruise lines. This Amazon cruise ship is fully air conditioned throughout and all the suites on the M/V Aria are comparable to a 5-star hotel with private baths, luxury toiletries and fine linen bedding and gourmet cuisine, the amenities onboard the M/V Aria will treat you to an intimate but luxurious Amazon River cruise.
Its 16 luxury guest suites (8 on the first deck, 8 on the second deck), designed by an internationally renowned Peruvian interior designer, measure a generous 240 square feet, and feature large, outward facing panoramic windows and en suite sitting areas. All suites are air conditioned, and four are interconnected, to cater to families. All suites are decorated to create the feeling of a luxury lodge on the Amazon River. The Design Suites, like all of our luxury suites, contain a private bath, complete with all necessities, plus a shower that has hot water around the clock, a hairdryer, and a basket of luxury toiletries and security boxes.
Fine dining in the Amazon jungle may sound unlikely, yet it can be found aboard the Aria. The menu has been created to combine both Peruvian and European influences, and fine South American wines are included and served to the meals. Special requests must be made 30 days in advance and the Aqua will make every attempt to accommodate any dietary requirements.
After your excursions into the Pacaya Samiria Reserve, come back to the comfort of the MV Aria and watch the Amazon scenery while enjoying a refreshing time on our cold water Jacuzzi located in our outdoor lounge. Drinks and light snacks are available in our Outdoor Lounge, perfect any time, but especially lovely at night, when you can see stars glistening brighter than you have ever seen before.
You will find that you spend a lot of time on the generous top-level Observation Deck, sunbathing, reading a good book, enjoying some down time after an excursion, or simply watching the river go by.
For the ones that enjoy to exercise every day, the MV Aria will have a unique exercise room, panoramic views from the full glass walls to admire the Amazon scenery while working out on the treadmills or elliptical machines.
The on-board boutique offers a lovely small collection of indigenous arts and crafts from the Amazon region and the rest of Peru as well as other items to help you remember your adventure in Peru aboard the M/V Aria once you have returned home.
Guides and Staff
On board is an experienced professional crew, one of Peru’s top chefs and a team of naturalists and guides with knowledge of the wildlife, plants and birdlife and the history of this part of Peru all under long-term contract to provide rich narrative detail about life along the Amazon.
Laura, First of all, thank you so much for arranging our time in the Galapagos. It was definitely an amazing time, and one that I will never forget! The ship was fun, and the staff excellent.
Hot though, thank goodness for the air conditioning on the boat! I was able to do one dive on the boat, there seemed to be a little confusion as to the diving. They were unable to schedule me for a second dive, due to the air compressor on the Spondylus not working.
